His own HOA called the police

In 2017, Ken's own homeowners association reported him to the Winter Springs Police Department. A contractor, Justin Herring of Florida Land Experts, told police that Ken directed him to pad invoices so Ken could take a cut, an estimated $2,500.

The emails filed with the HOA's lawsuit speak for themselves:

"Make it happen and charge the HOA $200. Throw me $50 when you get paid."
"I'll need my $1100 ASAP."

He paid to settle

The State Attorney's Office found no probable cause for a criminal charge, and that case was closed. The HOA's civil lawsuit didn't go away, though. In 2020, Ken paid the HOA $3,025 in mediation and court costs to settle it.

Forced off the Planning & Zoning Board

While he served on the city's Planning & Zoning Board, Ken accused a sitting commissioner of harassment and filed an ethics complaint. The complaint was rejected as unfounded, and Ken was forced to resign from the board.

How he talks to residents

Online, Ken has called people "clowns," "scumbags," and "con-men." A long list of residents say he bans or blocks them as soon as they disagree with him.
